This caused her to become aphasiac, an acquired language disorder which makes it difficult for her to produce or comprehend spoken or written language. She has healing powers which she uses to battle against the Yason.

Ciel actually cares for people and causes while Alois is psychologically scarred, pathologically abusive, and calculative. By appearance, Ciel is seemingly indifferent, while Alois is quite energetic.

The King of Shura Country, Ashura-o is in constant war with the Yasha clan over the possession of a mysterious castle said to fulfill its master’s every wish. It was later revealed that Ashura-o was in love with Yasha-o and Ashura-o wished to resurrect him from the dead. He died in the castle as it crumbled around him unable to fulfill his wish. However, what the castle could not do, Yuuko was able to grant; she made Ashura-o and Yasha-o gods to their clans, allowing them to be together.

Born without a Lineage Weapon, Aldred van Envurio is the adopted son of Headmaster Kain van Envurio of the Mercenary Specialized School. Although physically strong, he could not compare against Lineage Weapons, which initially bothered him. He was deemed by most as a failure at the beginning of the manga, with the exception of his teammates.
An orphan who grew up with Near and Matt in Wammy's House, Mello was one of the candidates to become L’s successor. When it was decided that he should work together with Near in order to succeed L, however, he refused and decided to pursue the Kira Case on his own. Although Mello is quite intelligent, he has a tendency of letting his emotions get the better of him.
A former Guardian Corps soldier, Lightning wields a gunblade called the Blazefire Saber, which is also known as the Blaze Edge in Japanese. It is a combination of a gun and a sword, one collapsing into the other. Lightning is known to be very agile, and uses acrobatic moves in battle.
When she was transferred into the future, Chrome’s physical condition became worse as her illusionary internal organs began failing one after the other. The adult Hibari Kyoya then instructed her to use the power of her Vongola Ring to sustain her organs through her own illusions. This allowed Chrome to escape any immediate danger, and thus prolonging her life.
A member of Pandora and a servant of the Rainsworth Dukedom, Xerxes Break gives the appearance of a carefree character, only showing his dangerous and evil side when the need arises. Break has a legal contract with the Mad Hatter and is often seen with a doll on his shoulder whom he calls “Emily”. He adores cakes as well as sweet things.
The Captain of the 12th Division and President of the Shinigami Reseach Institute, Kurotsuchi Mayuri personifies the archetype of the mad scientist, viewing everyone as objects to be dissected in the lab. He takes great pride in his creations, such as his “daughter” Nemu, and condemns the concept of perfection. Mayuri has little regard for life or allegiances, going so far as turning his own subordinates as human bombs.
